I am a real sucker for great pearls and these pendants feature some of the best pearls I’ve ever seen. It is difficult to show how gorgeous they are in a photograph. The color is outstanding, high luster white. Each one is unique and may vary in shape and size. The bail is made of patinaed sterling silver accented with 24kt gold. Maureen collects interesting things that inspire jewelry creations, such as owl pellets*. The tiny little bones found in the pellet were used to create the texture on the bail. We think it is lovely. * An owl eats its prey whole. Indigestible material left in the gizzard such as teeth, skulls, claws, and feathers are too dangerous to pass through the rest of the owl’s digestive tract. To safely excrete this material, the owl’s gizzard compacts it into a tight pellet that the owl regurgitates. The regurgitated pellets are known as owl pellets.
